In the old days our bestie Jen in addition to I would take an overnight road trip just to get fresh weed… Our little town was so bone-dry that every one of us had to go see her cousin in the city, which was a several hour drive a single-way! Of course every one of us could never tell our parents where every one of us were going those times! It should have never been illegal in the first place, so if it is convenient to have delivered that is exactly what I will do. Jen asked me if cannabis was illegal again would we take another overnight road trip? I told her that I would do it again in a heartbeat, but hopefully it will never come to that, because I have gotten accustomed to home cannabis delivery.

For about 49 of those 50 smoking years, weed has been illegal… As all long-time potheads already know, the law was never an impediment to getting cannabis, it just means there are fewer options. Last year medical cannabis was legalized, plus the rumor mill says that recreational use will be legalized next year. This makes our life much easier, because it feels a little deranged being a 70 year old guy plus buying cannabis from boys… I don’t have to worry about that any longer, because there are now 3 different legal cannabis dispensaries within driving distance, but my doctor approved me for a medical cannabis prescription card, which means I can go to any of these shops plus buy whatever I want. There are limits, of course, because no person is allowed to buy an ounce of cannabis all at once. This makes sense to me, who would need so much cannabis unless they were planning to sell it? I usually just buy a few grams of cannabis at any given time, partially because I prefer having a variety of strains to choose from, even if I could buy a full ounce of OG Kush I don’t know I would, because I prefer trying something different and fresh every time I go to the dispensary.

I recently discovered bath bombs at the local cannabis dispensary.

I have never been a fan of putting oils or scents into the tub. I never used to make time to soak in the bathtub. I was actually at the dispensary shopping for topicals. I had stepped into a pothole while on a run and rolled my ankle. The fall also bruised my knees and my right hand and caused some pain in my shoulders and back. Because the hot water opens up the pores, the cannabinoids are able to more quickly and effectively penetrate the receptors in the skin. Because the cannabinoids never enter the bloodstream, there is no risk of a high sensation. When I dried off after the bath, I immediately noticed an improvement. The soreness in my neck, shoulders and back was gone. My ankle wasn’t quite as painful. I was also impressed with how silky soft my skin felt. My next trip to the dispensary, I loaded up on bath bombs. They are offered in a range of options featuring different essential oils and cannabinoids. I partner them with cannabis-infused ointments, lotions, balms and roll-ons for full body treatments.

Most of today’s plants are no longer pure. They are all a hybrid variation. He said that to have a full understanding of the effects of a strain, I need to pay more attention to the terpene and cannabinoid profile. The terpenes are responsible for the aroma and taste of individual strains of cannabis. The cannabinoids are the chemical compounds, such as THC and CBD, that react with the mind and body. Terpenes and cannabinoids also influence each other and the effects on the mind and body. There are over a hundred cannabinoids found in the plant. It has taken quite a bit of careful experimentation for me to find the strains I prefer.

Then I went to see the dentist plus the dentist sent me to a mental health specialist. They commanded some things that might help boost our serotonin levels, one of those things was medical marijuana. I listened carefully when the dentist explained all of the information about medical marijuana, then she was absolutely thorough. She explained all of the side effects that I might know like dizziness, dry throat, plus slow reaction times. I didn’t have to go to get a special license, because medical plus recreational cannabis products are legal in this state. I did know more comfortable knowing that the dentist made the recommendation.
