I finally have access to medical cannabis

Getting old is no joke.

The only good thing is that I have enough money and insurance to get all the drugs I need.

For the last fifty years I have been a regular consumer of both whiskey and marijuana. Liquor has always been legal in my lifetime, so that has remained a constant. For about 49 of those 50 smoking years, weed has been illegal. As all long-time potheads already know, the law was never an impediment to getting cannabis, it just means there are fewer options. Last year medical cannabis was legalized, and the rumor mill says that recreational use will be legalized next year. This makes my life easier, because it felt a little silly being a 68 year old man and buying cannabis from teenagers. I don’t have to worry about that any longer, because there are now three different legal cannabis dispensaries within driving distance. My doctor approved me for a medical cannabis prescription card, which means I can go to any of these shops and buy whatever I want. There are limits, of course, because no one is allowed to buy an ounce of cannabis all at once. This makes sense to me, who would need so much cannabis unless they were planning to sell it? I usually just buy a few grams of cannabis at any given time, partially because I enjoy having a variety of strains to choose from. Even if I could buy a full ounce of Blue Dream I don’t think I would, because I like trying something new every time I go to the dispensary.
