My idea was a simple one — to create a custom shopping area with several different kinds of shops all clustered together around a central courtyard.

I know this is not a new concept, but in this area ,with these kinds of stores, it is new! The downtown area is very hip and trendy, and more twentysomethings are moving in all the time.

These people could use a close, convenient shopping area designed with their needs in mind. First of all there would be a cannabis dispensary, and that would be the flagship store for the complex. Ever since medicinal cannabis was legalized there have been more and more dispensaries popping up around town. In this area is the highest concentration of people who are prescribed medical cannabis, which makes it mathematically the smartest place to open a dispensary. In the next years elections I believe that recreational cannabis use will also be legalized, and that will make this location even more valuable! I will need other stores to surround the cannabis dispensary, some trendy coffee shops and eateries, of course, and at least one hookah bar and one regular bar. I will also reach out into the local marijuana community to find artisans who make clothing or other products out of hemp fibers. Having a hemp clothing store sitting next to the cannabis dispensary seems appropriate, don’t you think? But the anchor for all of this will be the cannabis dispensary, so it needs to be the biggest, brightest, and best this town has ever seen. I’ll let you know how it goes!

Art is my life, and it always has been.

Thanks to the pandemic I was locked up inside, trapped with myself, by myself, for months on end, and it provided me the solitude I needed to take my work to the next level. I am an artist of the visual mediums, I like to sketch and I also like to paint. If you want some fresh meat, you need to get your rifle and go hunting for it. If you want a water supply, you dig a well. If you want power, you need a generator, because the power lines don’t run this far out. So being a teenager who wanted to smoke, I just grew my own marijuna plants, and that was all I knew. My Uncle Moe used to be the Ice Cream Man in this town.

• For years,that was his full time job, just driving from neighborhood to neighborhood, hitting the lights and the music, and cruising around selling ice cream treats.

Summers were busy, the winters not so much, but he had a good route and made a living for a long time. The old ice cream truck has been sitting in his yard for a few years now, just collecting rust, so I bought it from him. My plan is to use it as a promotional tool for the job, and spruce it up as a promo for the cannabis dispensary. My mom and dad have a zero tolerance policy on marijuana use in their house, my little brother got caught with a half joint in his pocket one time and my dad grounded him for more than two weeks and made him take random drug tests while he was grounded. I knew it was going to be strenuous to transfer back home and live with my mom and dad. I did not have any option when our girlfriend and I broke up and I lost our job on the same day. I wanted to drive my car off a bridge and I knew it was time to get some help. I spent a couple of afternoons in the mental hospital getting our brain straight and then I moved into the home with my mom and dad and two brothers who are seniors in private school. I’m two years older than my twin brothers. I smoke marijuana everyday, so I leave the home in the morning to get a cup of coffee from the corner store. That is our excuse to smoke marijuana. I have a ritual to get rid of the smoke and the smell that includes cologne, febreeze and lots of incense. A couple of afternoons ago, I stopped at the dispensary on our way home from job hunting. I picked up a couple of eighths of cheap weed. The basket was in my car and my dad was in the driveway when I got home. My dad wanted to talk about my interviews. I was in a hurry to get in the house. I’m so glad he did not ask what I had in the bag, because I’m a terrible liar.
