We live so far out that we can’t even get the paper delivered. And yet, we still don’t dare grow the marijuana we use. Friends mock us for driving hours to the cannabis dispensary for our marijuana products. The odds are that we would never be found out were we to grow our own cannabis. But were we to get caught, that could destroy our lives so it seems totally worth it to make the trip to the cannabis dispensary. It just wouldn’t be worth the consequences otherwise. Plus, we make sort of big deal out of the whole thing anyway. About once every six weeks or so, we plan a weekend getaway to the city. There are several marijuana businesses there and we are determined to visit them all one day. So on every trip, we pick out a new cannabis dispensary to visit. And thus far, we have yet to be disappointed. Actually, the opposite is closer to the truth. It’s just stunning the amount of new cannabis strains that we keep discovering. And my wife and I have been recreational marijuana users for more than 2 decades. So you’d think we’d have tried them all. Yea, not even close. What’s more, we like to do the whole weekend in the city. Staying at a nice hotel, seeing sights we have seen before and treating ourselves to a great dinner is also on the docket. And it’s just a blast for us. Our next trip is coming up soon and we’ve been making the list up of the marijuana edibles we hope to find on this trip.
Took my dad to the cannabis dispensary
It’s funny all the things a father and his only son can share.
But a trip to the local cannabis spot was not on that list for me.
However, my dad and I accompanied one another for a trip to the cannabis dispensary in town. It was not just some sort of fluke either. Dad and I planned this shopping trip together. It all came about when my dad opened up to me about using recreational marijuana back in his college days. This is a man who just retired and was recently widowed. He also told me that my late mother would enjoy marijuana as well. But when they got of college and started family and a career, the marijuana days appeared to be over. He said that since he was in college he’d only enjoyed some sativa products a friend of his provided a few times on visits. With the advent of recreational marijuana use being legalized, he wanted to see about getting some sativa products again. He was just so forthcoming about the whole thing that I let him know that I also have used recreational marijuana and still do. He wasn’t all that surprised but was glad that it was legal so he didn’t have to bail me out of jail. So we planned a trip to the local cannabis spot and I wasn’t sure he’d go through with it. But he did and we ended up having a great time. Dad got the sativa strains for sale that he was looking for. And I got myself a little sampler pack. We went home, tried them out and ended up cooking dinner together and having one of the best nights of our lives together.
Somebody left two twenties in the ATM at the dispensary
The medical and recreational marijuana dispensary does not take credit cards or debit cards.
- They only accept cash for purchases.
I hate paying the $4.50 fee that the marijuana dispensary charges, so I usually stop at my bank ATM before going to the store. Last time I went to the medical and recreational marijuana dispensary, the ATM was not working at the bank. I could not withdraw any money for free. I had to use the ATM at the marijuana dispensary. I was bummed out about paying the fee, but I didn’t have any choice. I waited in line behind three people before I had the opportunity to use the cash dispensing machine. As soon as I walked up to the ATM, I noticed two $20 bills in the tray. I quickly scanned the room to see if anyone was looking at the machine. The people in front of me we’re already talking to a budtender about their order. I grabbed the two twenties and shoved them in my pocket. I withdrew $100 from my bank account. I quickly left the ATM and walked to the other side of the room to wait for my cannabis pickup order. While I was waiting for my order, I didn’t notice anyone else at the ATM. Whoever left the money must not have realized they were $40 short. I quickly paid for my items and got out of the dispensary before someone decided to check the video tape. I didn’t want to get accused of stealing, even though someone left the money in the machine.
I found a dime bag in the parking lot
Every Tuesday, the dispensary downtown has a sale on everything in the store.
From noon until 6 p.m, everything is 20% off. The dispensary has a large selection and they offer many different types of cannabis products. They have dried flower cannabis, concentrate, tinctures, edibles, and vape supplies. I actually prefer to purchase vape supplies. I like vaping more than smoking, because there is less stress on my throat and loans. I’ve been vaping cannabis concentrate for the past year and I physically feel better. I went to the dispensary on Tuesday so I could purchase a couple of grams of cannabis concentrate. One of the best strains that the dispensary carries is called fat banana. Fat banana is an Indica dominant strain made from mixing Fatso and 33 bananas. The flavor is sweet and piney and full of taste. I picked up two one gram cartridges of fat banana and I also grabbed a one gram jar of cannabis concentrate called papaya. Papaya is one of my favorite Indica strains and it always tastes great. I paid for my order and left the dispensary. While I was walking through the parking lot, I stumbled across a dime bag. The small bag of marijuana was still sealed from the distributor. The eighth of marijuana was sitting in the middle of the parking lot, so I picked it up and put it in my bag. Even though I don’t prefer smoking dried flower, I wasn’t going to walk past the free weed. The eighth was probably $30 in the dispensary.

I didn't want anyone to get hurt that day
Two weeks ago, I started working at a cannabis dispensary downtown.
I was hired to work as the security officer at the front door.
I’ve worked as a security officer in many different places. I’ve always been allowed to carry a pistol. The cannabis dispensary downtown did not want me to carry a pistol. I was allowed to have a stun gun and pepper spray. The owner of the dispensary didn’t want anyone getting hurt and insisted that there was no reason for the security team to carry a weapon. A few days ago, an armed person ran into the dispensary. The guy ran right past me and then he started waving a gun at all of the employees’ faces. I didn’t want anyone to get hurt that day, so I tried to remain as calm as possible. I told everyone to get down on the ground and I told the burglar that he was welcome to take anything that he wanted. We didn’t want any problems and we weren’t going to stop him from taking what he wanted. The guy looked surprised that no one was going to stop him. Then he started filling a bag with items from behind the counter. He filled the whole bag with Edibles and vape pen cartridges. He didn’t even go into the register for cash. It’s as if he knew exactly what he wanted. We didn’t stop the guy and the police showed up a few seconds after the guy ran out the door. I hope he won’t get away, but I think the police are still asking questions and canvassing the neighborhood.
All of the overtime hours are going to pay for our vacation
The recreational marijuana shop has been very short handed these last few months.
- Some of the reason is due to the pandemic, and some of the reason is simply due to a large amount of turnover.
We lost a couple of employees when a new recreational marijuana shop opened a lounge and hired more people. Honestly, the shop has been slower since that place opened. We still have to stay open from morning until night, and there are less people to fill those hours. I’ve been working a lot of overtime during the last 3 months. I work every day during the week from eight until six, and then I also work Saturdays from open until close. I usually take off Sunday, but I work if the boss needs someone to fill a few hours that day. I’m trying to save money, because my girlfriend and I want to take a vacation to the islands. We have been learning how to scuba dive for a while, but we haven’t been able to go anywhere that is a tropical location. All of the dives are very expensive. I’ve been taking all of the overtime offered at the marijuana shop so my girlfriend and I can book our tickets and go during the offseason. The water might be a little colder, but we will still be able to enjoy the dive experience. I want to visit a few of the underwater wrecks that are only sixty or eighty feet under the water. The reefs are going to be a nice place for the two of us to practice our new skills.
The driver forgot our cannalean
It’s a good thing that I opened the bag before the guy left
Cannalean is a very thick elixir filled with THC. The elixir comes in a variety of flavors like strawberry, pink lemonade, bubble gum, lemon lime and grape. The pink lemonade flavor is definitely my favorite. It is the only one of the flavors that has a tangy zip. The other flavors are all extremely sweet and taste like sugar. It’s rare to find cannalean on the shelves, because it sells out as fast as it is stocked. I was surprised to find three different flavors of kenneling on the medical marijuana dispensary website. One of the flavors was pink lemonade, my favorite. I added a grape, a lemon lime and a pink lemonade flavored elixir. Each one of the containers has 1000 mg of THC. Each one of the cannalean products is $65 each. They are extremely expensive, but also very potent. I ordered a couple of additional items from the online website. About 15 minutes later, a budtender called to confirm all of the products. I honestly thought she would give me bad news about the cannalean, but they were still in stock. The delivery driver took 45 minutes, which isn’t unusual on a Friday night. It was unusual that the driver forgot all of the cameline products. It’s a good thing that I opened the bag before the guy left. None of the cannalean bottles were inside of the bag. I wasn’t going to give the guy an extra $200 when he forgot all of the important items in my order. Thankfully, he returned about an hour later with the cannalean and some free pre rolls for the trouble.

The candy was covered with ants
Most of the edibles for the cannabis shop are kept downstairs in the storage room.
The storage room is underground and easily climate controlled without much HVAC power.
I was tasked with filling all of the shelves after our labor day weekend sale. I had a list of items to grab from the storage room. I had a box to fill. I started filling the box with each of the cannabis products on the list. When I got to the bags of edible gummy treats, I saw something moving inside the large box. I thought it was just a shadow, but then I saw more moving objects. It only took a few seconds to recognize the ants. They were all over the bags of gummy THC treats. I put the box in the middle of the room and started looking at other boxes close to the cannabis edibles. I found ants in three boxes. I placed each of the boxes in the middle of the storage room and I went upstairs to inform the manager of the problem. The cannabis shop manager had to contact a pest removal service. We had to empty the storage room completely and all of the products were checked for bugs. It was a huge hassle to clean the storage room and get rid of the ants, but we didn’t have any complaints from our customers. Nobody called us to say they found ants in their edibles. I think we did the right thing by acting fast instead of ignoring the problem. We only lost the contents of the three damaged boxes.
The cannabis lounge is our new favorite hang out
They say variety is the spice of life, and I would agree with that up to a certain point. When you are young you need to try different things, because you can’t figure things out with getting some life experience under your belt. After a certain point, you do figure out what you like, at which point the natural thing to do is stick with it. Isn’t the point of life to enjoy it? My friends and I have been going out every weekend to the same place, and we talk about trying someplace new, but this cannabis dispensary is really amazing, so why change? The way this cannabis dispensary is set up is with a special smoker’s lounge you can access through the back room. There are actually two different parts to the lounge, but you can only get to them through the cannabis dispensary itself. Anything you buy in the cannabis dispensary you can smoke in the lounge. The inside room is only for edibles, drinks, and any type of vaping, but the outside is where you can smoke whatever you want… as long as you bought it on site. You aren’t allowed to bring your own twelve pack into a saloon, and you can’t bring your own homegrown weed into the cannabis dispensary. Once inside, you buy what you want, and can spend the entire test of the night hanging out, chilling, listening to live music, and enjoying marijuana! Until someone opens up a hybrid cannabis dispensary/lounge/bar with an all you can eat buffet, this will remain the best hang out spot!
I love this new cannabis dispensary
All of previous experience was with homegrown marijuana, and was always a “take it or leave it” kind of situation
When I went to college, pot was plentiful. After graduation I moved to a new town, I didn’t know anyone, and had no way to get any smoke. For a while I had a system where I would drive back to the college campus, catch up with a few friends, and buy some weed once a month or so. That was a two hour drive each way, and after a few months I just got tired of doing it, so I took a little hiatus from smoking. In that time I tried out CBD oil a few times, but honestly it did nothing at all for me. Thankfully, we now have a cannabis dispensary in town, so I can get back to smoking out whenever I feel like it. I have to admit, my first trip inside a cannabis dispensary was like entering a magical new world. All of previous experience was with homegrown marijuana, and was always a “take it or leave it” kind of situation. But in this wonderful business there were glass counters displaying dozens upon dozens of the most butterfly delicious looking cannabis strains I have ever seen! My only problem was deciding which cannabis was the right one to try first! There was a pretty young budtender worker that day, and she patiently explained to me the basics, like the differences between sativa and indica. Ever since that day I have been a regular customer at the cannabis dispensary, and every time I go I always buy a different kind of cannabis, because variety is the spice of life!
