CBD for my headaches

When I entered high school I started experiencing troubles with headaches.

  • Usually it was from lack of sleep, dehydration and stress.

As I have gotten older my headaches have changed into full blown migraines. I have learned to know the signs of a migraine and I preemptively medicate when I can. Sometimes that doesn’t even help though. I will be down on the couch for hours. I am sensitive to light, sounds and will occasionally vomit due to the pain. I used to get pills from my local doctor to help with my severe cases. However I started worrying about long term health complications. That is when I turned to cannabis. This is a more natural remedy and easier to obtain. Rather than going to a doctor’s office all the time, I just go once a year to renew my medical marijuana card. I just needed to be 21 years of age, fill out the papers and pay the fee. It has been worth all the work. The budtender at the medical weed shop recomenedd that I rely on CBD products. I vape CBD oil for my headaches now. I smoke just about everyday to reduce my stress levels. I also am better about hydrating. I even found that the CBD product is helpful for my sleep too. I get less headaches coming on. When they do appear, the effects of the CBD product makes the headaches not as potent. It was such a smart move changing over to cannabis. I don’t deal with side effects anymore.

I kept forgetting the difference between sativa and Indica.

I was in the medical marijuana dispensary last week, and I told them I was looking for something new to try. They have recently diagnosed me with fibromyalgia after years of doctors telling me they could find nothing wrong. I had severe pain throughout my entire body. The doctor had suggested medical marijuana‌. It took me six months to ‌save enough money to not just get my medical marijuana ID card, but to purchase the marijuana products I needed. The first time I went into the marijuana dispensary, I know exactly what I was getting. The doctor told me different strains to look at, some for daytime and some for nighttime, and I had it all written‌. When I went back to the marijuana dispensary two months later, I couldn’t remember the difference between Sativa and Indica. I knew ‌one was for sleep and the other for bedtime, but I could not remember which. I remember my husband telling me that Sativa was for… I thought he said sleep. Then I overheard someone say Indica could be synonymous with in bed. So should I buy sativa to help me sleep or Indica before I go to bed? I thought maybe I should reach out to the budtender at the marijuana dispensary. I didn’t want to use the wrong medical marijuana and end up sleeping all day and awake all night. He smiled when I asked and told me that many people can’t remember. Indica in bed was proper, but Sativa was for sunlight. Indica is for sleeping and sativa is for daytime use.

Of all the cannabis dispensaries in the area, she had to come into this one.

I love my cousin, but his choice of wives drives me nuts.

  • I like her, but only in short spurts.

When I got married, I was looking for a man who treated me well and had some maturity tone. Never did I think ‌I was going to find someone who was born on the day I graduated from high school. I don’t believe he thought that way either, but somehow it happened. She reminds me more of my granddaughters than she does of a 60-year-old man’s wife. My cousin uses medical marijuana to help with his Parkinson’s disease. Often, she will go to pick up his order. I never thought I would see her in the marijuana dispensary since I lived almost 50 miles away from where she was. The other afternoon, however, I was standing in line waiting to pick up my online order at the marijuana dispensary. I always put in my order for medical marijuana so that it makes it quicker to get in and out of the store. I no longer drive, and my husband is usually waiting in the car for me and online ordering is so much easier than standing in line. I was just paying for my medical marijuana when my cousin’s wife walked in. Of all the cannabis dispensaries in the entire area, I couldn’t understand why she came to this one. I would’ve asked her, but she didn’t see me as I turned around to walk out the door. I’m sure she had she would’ve come yelling at me to come back and talk to her until she finished her medical marijuana order.

It takes a special talent to make gummies out of medical marijuana.

One of my husband started getting medical marijuana. I laughed. They gave him tinctures to use, and every time he tried to use one tincture, he would gag. I had to laugh at him, but I knew there was something I should be able to do to make the use of medical marijuana easier on him. I found a website that gives several recipes for edibles that use THC. I found that by tweaking them a little, I could make gummies, hard candy, lollipops, cakes and cookies, and other food products. My husband told the budtender at the medical marijuana dispensary about the delicious Gummies and candies that I was making for him. The young man told him that making Gummies is really hard. Is it takes a really special type of cooking talent to ‌get the Gummies gummy? It told him that every time he tried making gummies out of medical marijuana; they ended up syrupy inside, or like old licorice. My husband laughed. He told the budtender that if anybody could learn how to cook with medical marijuana, it would be his wife. I would’ve liked to be there to hear if he actually said things like he said he did because it would’ve been one of the biggest compliments he had ever given me. I know many people are telling me how my husband compliments me when I’m not with him, but I don’t know if I want people to think that I am the queen of cooking with medical marijuana.

Is it possible to get high on medical cannabis?

When I had medical marijuana prescribed to me, my only fear about taking it was the fear getting high.

I didn’t want to walk around high all day long.

I had a lot of responsibilities while watching my grandchildren throughout the day. After the grandkids at home, I worked. I put two days in working from home, take care of my husband, make all the meals, and clean my house all after the kids got home. I don’t have time to sit around and get high all day long. When the doctor suggested the marijuana for my arthritis, the first thing I asked was, ‘If this was going to make me high?’. The doctor told me ‌it all depended on the type of medical marijuana I took. He suggests I get something that had more CBD than THC, but I didn’t know the difference. That’s when he suggested ‌I talked to the marijuana dispensary pharmacist. He said that he/she could recommend something that would help with the pain and not make me high or sleepy. I was really hoping he was right, because there was no way I would want someone to come into my house and think that I was high will take care of my grandkids. My kids would yank their babies out of my house quickly, and would never allow them with me again unless they supervised them. I don’t like the idea that there’s so much stigma on me, even though the marijuana I use is medical marijuana. I’m going to need to keep everything that is associated with CBD out of sight.

My daughter keeps calling me a pothead.

I love my daughter, she is driving me crazy. She lived with me when I spent a year in bed. I had slid in water on the way my back twisted. I broke two vertebrates on my lower back. Until they could stabilize my condition, they would not let me have surgery. For almost a year, she and my husband would help me bathe, help me dress, and bring me food to the bed so I didn’t have to crawl up and down the stairs. After my surgery, I was still in a lot of pain, but I could walk. My surgeon told me ‌he could give me injections or pain pills, but he would prefer me to go without the narcotics, and he was afraid of the injections. I still had a bone fragment that was stuck in a nerve sack, and he was afraid that an injection could irritate that cause more damage. Instead, he suggested I try medical marijuana. He helped me get the prescription and told me what products he suggested. The medical marijuana that I use is mostly CBD, with very little THC. It is enough to take the edge off the pain, causing no side effects. I have been using medical marijuana for the last three years now, and I’m glad I do. My daughter has known Ivan using medical marijuana since the day I got the prescription. Now that she has a young daughter of her own, she starting to get very judgmental about my medical marijuana use. Any time she sees even a hint of medical marijuana, she tells me she’s the only person she knows who has a mother who’s a pothead.

They told me marijuana would make me paranoid.

She asked if I was accusing her of being a pothead, or using illegal drugs? I told her I was just commenting that I had seen her, but couldn’t catch up to her to talk to her

When I was talking to my best friend about medical cannabis, she told me that any kind of marijuana can make me paranoid. I had to laugh because she was paranoid about everything. I asked her if she was using medical or recreational marijuana, because of this reason. I think I made her angry, because she gave me a dirty look, threw her hands back, and walked away. I guess I should’ve known better because my best friend was a goody-two-shoes. I had never seen her do anything wrong, but that doesn’t mean she’s perfect. Last week, I saw her walking down the street guarding a familiar bag. Every time I went into the medical cannabis dispensary, I came out with my order in the same type of bag. That afternoon, I called to tell her ‌I’d seen her on the street, and it disappointed me ‌I didn’t have time to talk to her. I told her I just come out of the cannabis dispensary, and I saw her head away. I didn’t accuse her of having been in the marijuana dispensary, or even asked her if she had been in the dispensary, but she got angry. She asked if I was accusing her of being a pothead, or using illegal drugs? I told her I was just commenting that I had seen her, but couldn’t catch up to her to talk to her. She gasped and apologized for acting so suspiciously. I told her it was okay, but as I hung up, I was still smiling. She’s the one telling me that smoking marijuana can make you paranoid.

I knew many people who wanted medical marijuana legalized.

When grandma saw me across the street, she came over to talk to my friends and I, but she pulled me away from them

I’ve always been small for my age, and sometimes that’s a good thing. At 16 years old, not quite 5 foot tall, and weighing less than 80 pounds, it is easy to hide round people. I listen to my brothers talk about their dates, and their dates talk about my brothers. I also secretly listened in on what I was told was adult talk, without them knowing I was in the room. My mom and dad were discussing the new law that recently legalized medical marijuana. Some of our family members thought it was an amazing thing, while others thought it was the downfall of civilization. My grandmother never said a thing about medical marijuana, and I took it she either didn’t agree with the legalization, or she just didn’t care. I was downtown with some of my friends one afternoon, and we were walking by the medical marijuana dispensary. You can see into the dispensary itself, but you could see people constantly coming and going. It was shocking to see my uncle Pete walking into the marijuana dispensary, when my grandmother was walking out of the marijuana dispensary. Uncle Pete was the one who stressed the loudest about marijuana legalization being the downfall of civilization. When grandma saw me across the street, she came over to talk to my friends and I, but she pulled me away from them. She told me she didn’t want me telling anyone that she had been inside the medical marijuana dispensary, but I could blab all I wanted about uncle Pete. She wanted him to know someone had seen him at the marijuana dispensary.

I wanted to feel better, not get high.

I have PTSD.

When my mom passed away, nobody thought anything about my staying with my father.

He was my dad, and it was only right that he should be the one to bring me up. Nobody thought about the fact that my dad had once been brought up on charges for molesting a 10-year-old girl. Although those charges had been dropped by mom, that didn’t mean it didn’t happen. That 10-year-old girl was me, and I was only 13 when mom died. I locked my door and stayed in my room whenever he was home. I would beg to go to friend’s houses on the weekend. I knew that staying home with him was going to end up badly, because it had already happened twice more. Dad was killed in a car accident when I was eighteen, and although physically I breathed a sigh of relief, mentally, I was a mess. Every time a man approached my daughter’s even if it was their dad, I would panic. My psychiatrist told me I could benefit from medical marijuana. I could control my fear and anxiety by using marijuana products. I was afraid marijuana, even medical marijuana, would make me more paranoid, but the doctor said it wouldn’t. They had to give me the proper medical marijuana products to help with my PTSD. Within three months, I could control mouldy anxiety when I saw my husband hug our daughters. Medical marijuana hasn’t just helped me with my anxieties, but it has also helped our family relationship. I am grateful to the psychiatrist who recommended medical marijuana for me.

The renewal process was even easier than the original process

It was a strenuous process to obtain our medical marijuana certification.

I spent countless hours researching the process. I could not get our own doctor to give me a script, so I had to find someone else who was accepting up-to-date clients. I looked for a doctor all over the city. I had to wait a year before there was an actual doctor that could write prescriptions for medical marijuana. The state actually dragged their feet when it came to certifying physicians. I drove all the way to the state capitol to see a doctor. I had to purchase the items from a marijuana dispensary situated in the state capital. The multiple-hour drive there and back took me all day after seeing the doctor. I had to drive there 3 times before that doctor finally filled out all of that paperwork. I was absolutely ecstatic to hear that the renewal process was going to be much easyr. The original process was a bit of a pain, but renewal was done completely over the phone. I gained a call from the doctor’s office and they set up a telephone appointment with the doctor for the next day. The doctor called at the exact time that every one of us tied up our phone call, but he asked a couple of questions and then he told me to call back next year. I had to pay a small fee, but it was nothing compared to the original fees and the entire process was a whole lot easier than the first time I was trying to get medical marijuana.
