Medical marijuana is still facing scrutiny even though it’s legal

Currently, there are approximately 40 states that have legalized the use of medical marijuana and there are millions of Americans who use natural medicine to cure or help with multiple illnesses! These illnesses range from chronic pain, migraines, fibromyalgia, Alzheimer’s disease, insomnia, PTSD, depression, epilepsy, and so much more, but and many healthcare experts within the medical industry have now become open to recommending the drug for their patients’ illnesses. So, with medical marijuana being so widely used, you would know that the stigma for the drug has been reduced. And perhaps it has, but there are still many people who judge those who use holistic practices to cure their pain, however part of the reason for the terrible wrap is that marijuana has been viewed in a pitfall way for so many years. After all, it was a popular street drug which is what most of us associate with it! I find that it’s a generational thing. The younger kids are completely open to the use of marijuana both recreationally and medicinally, and but older folks like my parents, still view marijuana as nothing more than a street drug! Even after it has been legalized by the government. Some people who use medical marijuana have even confessed to feeling ashamed when using the drug to treat their illnesses and it’s all because the drug is still being scrutinized by so many. Personally, I don’t use medical marijuana and I have never used the drug, but if I had a chronic illness, I would rather take medical marijuana versus taking prescription drugs. In my opinion, the natural remedy is consistently the better way to go.
