I’ve been laboring a lot of overtime because my car broke down.
The dealership told me that I have to have some work done on the transmission and it was going to cost about $1,500. I could not drive the car until the work was done. I got a loan from my parents so I could get the car back abruptly. I needed to use it for work. There was no way that I could take an uber or lift every single day and I didn’t have anyone to drive me back and forth to the marijuana dispensary nearby where I work. My mom and dad put the repairs for the car on their debit card and I have been laboring a lot of overtime to spend money them back. It’s easy to work overtime at the marijuana dispensary, because people regularly want a day off. The boss does not care if you work overtime as long as there is someone to cover all of the shifts. The marijuana dispensary pays biweekly and I honestly like that. It’s nice to have a paycheck every Tuesday. Once the weekend is over, I only have to worry about a couple of afternoons before I have more currency in my pocket. I had 62 hours last weekend and I expected my paycheck to be more than $1,000, but unluckyly, my paycheck was honestly off. As soon as I got the deposit, I called the manager and told her that there was a concern with my paycheck. She logged into the online system and I was only paid for 26 hours instead of 62.
