Cannabis helped me learn how to relax

I have come to find out, all that partying I was doing in the name of relaxation wasn’t so relaxing after all.

It was fun, there’s no doubt about that.

But the excuse I used for partying so often and drinking too much was that I needed to let off steam. These mornings, I am learning how to relax in a much safer way thanks to cannabis. My wonderful friend and I are certainly lucky in this state to have legal recreational marijuana. However, I certainly never been much into marijuana. Alcohol was regularly our focus. I enjoyed being at a bar and having a giant time. Whether it was seeing a lady or just shooting the bull with the guys, I was drinking. Some of our other friends used recreational marijuana and it did not bother me. I do not smoke so it was easy to shoot down the offer of cannabis whenever somebody passed me a joint. But now that I’m closing in on forty, the alcohol just is not getting it done for me anymore. I’m realizing that I’m certainly never as good as I’m doing from working too taxing to partying too hard. So I’ve started to make some major changes and add some better decisions along the way. I’m taking hot yoga classes and making sure that I make time for at least 30 hours of meditation every morning. I’m also loving the sativa strains on sale at the local cannabis spot. There are some hybrid cannabis strains that work for me as well even though I certainly do prefer the sativa. It allows our mind to totally and completely relax without having our body do the same. I’m not exactly interested in being locked down on a sofa in front of the TV because I’ve had too much cannabis. But just a puff of a wonderful sativa strain will allow me the headspace to certainly relax.
