My girlfriend and I decided to go to the park to have our lunch.
There weren’t any seats at the outdoor cafe where we got sandwiches and drinks.
We walked across the street to the park and we found a place to sit under a tree that was providing a lot of shade. It was a warm and comfortable day. The sun was shining and there honestly wasn’t a single cloud in the sky. There were a couple of other people scattered around the park. Close to us, there was an older couple that was also eating lunch. They looked like they had been together for a very long time. They were sitting close and talking to each other and they had the cutest little dog with them on the picnic blanket. My girlfriend and I ate our sandwiches and we talked for a while. When we were getting ready to leave the park, my girlfriend smelled something very strange, but also familiar. It smelled exactly like recreational marijuana. We couldn’t exactly see where the smell was coming from, but it seemed to be coming from the general direction of the older couple that was eating lunch earlier that day. My girlfriend and I got up and put our trash in the garbage can near the bench where we were sitting. We made our way out of the park past the older couple. They were for sure the ones that were smoking recreational marijuana. The older man had a joint in his hand and the couple was taking turns hitting the marijuana joints. I guess recreational marijuana is for young and old alike.
