Edibles in the local dispensary are entirely lavish, but they taste so good… Still, I cannot spend fifty bucks a week to eat cookies with marijuana! My husband Bob plus I wanted to make oil that was infused with cannabis.
The cannabis dispensary has a particular cannabutter machine that helps with the process, but it costs more than $200 which is way out of our price range.
Bob read a bunch of recipes online so he was certain that he would be able to turn that marijuana bud into a usable substance. Bob started out by grinding up all of the marijuana into a good dust. Bob placed all of the marijuana into a cheesecloth plus tied the top of the bag! After that, Bob put the bin into a massive baking dish filled with olive oil. The marijuana plus olive oil baked together for 2 hours at a low temp. When the process was finished, the olive oil was a light green color that looked terrible and gross. It reminded me of something that would come out of a baby. I absolutely did not like the way that the store-bought cannabis infused oil looked. The smell was very potent. The oil smelled exactly like cannabis. I could not complain about that for sure. The taste was not exactly great either. Instead of tasting like marijuana, the olive oil tasted like a burnt plant. I suppose Bob should have cooked the marijuana at a lower temperature in the oven, but there are probably 10 or 15 peculiar mistakes that both of us could have made to change the outcome of the cooking process.
