I’ve been dating this girl for the past 3 months and things have been going well, however I invited her to spend the weekend at our apartment after our roommate went home to see her parents… And my girlfriend came over on Wednesday night after her last class was over… Every one of us had some lunch outside on the patio, and she grabbed her cigarettes and I grabbed a cellphone to smoke some marijuana.
She looked horrified when I brought the basket of marijuana outside.
I knew that the two of us discussed recreational marijuana in the past and I thought for sure that I told her that I was a recreational user. She looked seriously surprised. She asked myself and others not to smoke in front of her, that’s when I realized that every one of us never discussed our use of recreational marijuana. My girlfriend did not even seem ecstatic and she made an excuse to leave our apartment on Monday night. She did not come back at all and I have not heard from her in a couple of afternoons. I left a few messages on her cellphone, but now I am just trying to provide her some space. If she does not accept the fact that I prefer to use recreational marijuana, then I guess our relationship is going to be over. I have tried to change for a lot of people in the past and it has never worked out certainly well. It is really better for myself and others to end the relationship now instead of continuing to conflict or argue about medical and recreational marijuana. I’m 26 years old now and I do not live at home, so I do not answer to anyone except myself.
