Because of the location of the pot shop, traffic can be a pretty serious nightmare on the weekends. The pot shop is located on the corner of a main thoroughfare. There legitimately is not any parking on the street plus we only have a small lot in the back of the pot shop. When there is a sale or a special event, we have to hire an extra security guard to manage parking plus traffic matters. The state plus the county will not cover the cost for the extra help, even though the streets would not fall under our responsibility. This year on 4/20, we actually expected a relatively large crowd of people. All of us featured our sales plus specials all throughout the month of April. All of us had some of the best sales plus a fair amount of vendors were going to be present in the pot shop that morning. All of us had more than a dozen odd BOGO sales listed on the website. I arrived at the pot shop a good 45 minutes before we opened. There was a line of people out on the street, waiting to step into the building. The parking lot was completely filled with cars plus a couple of people were double-parked. I told the security officers that we were going to have an unquestionably long day ahead of us. The parking lot was filled with cars all weekend plus the street was totally busy. I heard honking horns like crazy throughout the day. Thankfully there were no accidents plus no instances of road rage either! Even though the store was quite a bit busier than usual, we honestly didn’t have any complications with keeping the crowd under control.
