The dispensary has been rather busy during the last couple of weeks. School is out and all of the college kids are home for the summer. I honestly thought our sales would suffer. I’ve been surprised by the amount of deliveries we still get to the college. There must be a ton of kids that don’t leave or take summer classes. Last weekend was exceptionally busy, due to the 4th of July holiday. I had extra employees scheduled to work on each shift. I worked the morning shift on Saturday. By the time it was once, I was ready to sit down and relax. My husband called me to meet him for lunch, and I left the recreational marijuana dispensary a few minutes before 1. I didn’t return to the dispensary until a couple of minutes after 2. When I entered the parking lot, there were two patrol cars sitting outside of the building. I didn’t possibly think the patrol cars could be handling a problem at the dispensary, because my phone did not ring at all during lunch. I walked inside of the building and three officers were getting statements from the staff. I asked the assistant manager what was happening. He explained that there was no time to call me. Everything happened very quickly. A disgruntled customer came into the marijuana dispensary with a baseball bat. He started destroying the building before the security guard could tackle him to the ground. The police were called after the customer was subdued. The assistant manager was getting ready to call me when I pulled into the parking lot.
