One of the most wonderful parts about my task is getting to be outside all of the time. As a forest ranger, I am able to spend all afternoon outside in nature. At times, I work on projects around the park as well as other times I Patrol the woods as well as nature trying to find potential concerns! Potential concerns could be fallen trees or critters that happen to be in danger. Potential concerns could also be hikers as well as backpackers that have not stayed on the trail. Some of the guys prefer to go rogue… I find them in the middle of nowhere frigid as well as hungry. The National Park is no locale to play survivor when you are not actually equipped with food, water, as well as a way to start a fire. I was hiking down one of my severely moderate trails as well as I smelled a truly brutal stench as well as stink coming from the woods. It was not a smell that was very common to the area, however the smell was just fine with me. I smell the scent of marijuana immediately. I traveled in the direction of the marijuana scent. I knew I was going to stumble into hikers at some point as well as I had a lot to say to them. I finally reached the destination where the hikers were back packed. They were sitting outside with a very compact vape pen. Since the guys weren’t smoking or using a fire, I didn’t say anything about the marijuana vape pen. I told the guys to have an enjoyable afternoon as well as I made sure they didn’t need any assistance. I left them alone to continue on their awesome adventure. I’m more than happy to let anyone roam the woods for an adventure as long as they are not actually breaking the rules.
