My wife wants me to stop smoking marijuana

I’ve been smoking marijuana for the last 20 years of my life. I started using marijuana after I got out of the army. It was a lot better than taking medications for the PTSD symptoms. When medical marijuana was legalized, the doctor didn’t have any problem giving me a prescription. I honestly felt like it changed my life. After using medical marijuana daily, I felt much better than I had in years. I started smoking even more marijuana once it was legalized for recreational purposes. When I met my wife, she wasn’t completely happy and in love with the fact that I smoke marijuana. She always thought it was a problem I could hack. I tried to explain to her that marijuana was a medicine for me just like the medicine she was taking for her blood pressure. Eventually she stopped hounding me and we got married. It’s been a year since the wedding and now my wife is talking about me quitting smoking again. I thought she was done with the nonsense, but it looks like she still might feel strongly about marijuana and that is probably bad news for the future of our relationship. I honestly have no plans to stop using medical or recreational marijuana. I talked to my therapist about everything that my girlfriend said and I talked to my primary care doctor about the effects of quitting marijuana after such a long time. The doctor honestly feels that is a bad idea and he would rather try to educate my wife on the benefits of medical and recreational marijuana.
