I can smoke an eighth of marijuana within the day, but there is truly no way I can Vape 3.5 grams of concentrate in that same period of time. All of the cannabis concentrate products were on sale last Monday, so my husband plus I decided to go to the pot shop to stock up. We easily obtained two grams of live resin from the same distributor plus both of the packages were messed up. Both of the grams of live resin concentrate looked as if they were stored upside down. There was concentrate all over the lid plus under the seal. The jar was a major sticky mess plus I lost half of the concentrate because I couldn’t get it off of the glass plus the plastic. The next time my husband plus I returned to the cannabis shop, both of us took the products back for a complete refund.

The farmer just started selling cannabis to medical dispensaries and he is in over his head

One of the most important parts of my job as a cannabis consultant is helping farmers learn how to harvest their plants sustainably. I grew up in the region and I know how valuable and limited the resources can be. Water is a scarce supply, and that is the most important resource in this part of the country. Sustainable farms need to learn how to use the water with the least amount of waste. I often consult on these projects. The environment is constantly changing, but our harm to the world around us is constant. When farmers have trouble with crops and setting up sustainable water systems, they call me. I set up water catchment systems that are particularly helpful. The system allows you to catch any water runoff. The extra water is reused as much as possible. We only have a short rainy season and catching the water is one way to help your farming operation near drought season. I consulted on a project recently that kept me busy for three weeks. I helped set up a water and irrigation system for a local farmer. The farmer just started selling cannabis to medical dispensaries and he is in over his head. That can happen from time to time when the business grows faster than you. That’s the best time to hire a consultant to help get you through the rough parts.

When I was a kid my grandma came to live with us, due to her deteriorating health.

When I was a teenager she had gotten to the point where she needed full time care so she moved to a nice nursing home. She had her own little apartment and everything, so she could keep a sense of autonomy, but she had around the clock help if she needed it. From that point on I was a regular fixture at the nursing home. I loved grandma and didn’t want her to be lonely, and I also learned she had the most killer cannabis around. I didn’t have access to medical marijuana, but it turns out grandma had been given a prescription some years ago. Not only did she love smoking cannabis, but it had done wonders for her health and her attitude. I assume the two things are connected, and since the cannabis lightened her mood and made her happier, that is what boosted her health. Anyway, grandma had really high standards for cannabis, and wouldn’t touch anything except the most top-shelf blends and strains. I was content to smoke whatever marijuana I could get my hands on, but she was very particular. She preferred to use the Sativa strains in the earlier part of the day, and then move on to Indica in the evenings when she watched Wheel of Fortune. From then on we got along great, and smoking a big fat bowl of cannabis while watching game shows with grandma became a daily ritual. I still see her almost every day!

After spending a month in Europe, I saw my life through different eyes.

• More than anything I want to move back over there for good, and build a new life in one of the Scandinavian countries, but the timing hasn’t been right.

I need a lot more money to afford a move, first of all, and also thanks to COVID getting permission to move permanently is harder to get. I am being patient, waiting until the time is right, and trying to make the best of it. With the help of the local cannabis dispensary I am taking the edge off ,but it still isn’t quite the same. Over there they have such a relaxed attitude towards cannabis use, it is remarkably chill. I would never buy any quantity of cannabis, because it wasn’t hard to get and there was no reason to “buy bulk” or stock up. When you went to a hash bar or cannabis dispensary, you would justy buy whatever you wanted to smoke at the time. No doggie bags, no taking some home for later, just buy the cannabis you wanted, smoke it, and head out. Very much like a bar here in America, where we don’t buy a glass of beer to take with us, we sit and drink it at the bar. This is the same attitude we need to adopt toward cannabis use in the future. Since we probably will not, I will move back over to Europe where life was more low key and cannabis was abundant, and also it was very cheap!

Although we had not spoken in some time, Carl and I used to be the best of friends. We were so close that we still loved and trusted each other completely, despite the fact it had been five years since we had so much as spoken on the phone. He had finally been able to get a piece of land in the country, like he always dreamed about. Now that he had what he needed for his big plan, he was calling me for some help. When we were in college we had big dreams of moving out to the country and starting a cannabis farm, but it never happened. Now it could happen, and he wanted me to move out for a few months and get all the cannabis crops up and running. How could I refuse? His farm was technically a hemp farm, and 90% of the land was devoted to growing hemp, but he also had a very substantial marijuana field, with a strain he had kept going for years. Each subsequent generation of the cannabis strain was more potent, and a deeper shade of purple. At this point the cannabis buds were so ooey-gooey that gloves and face masks needed to be worn at all times. Just rubbing it against your skin could give you such a contact high from the THC content that you would be napping within an hour. I followed his protocols, and worked his field of cannabis crops all through the day, and then I would spend most of every night smoking them!

I went with my boyfriend to a housewarming party.

• It was being thrown by a couple I didn’t know, but it was obvious that the woman wanted this party, and her boyfriend very much did not want it! He looked uncomfortable, and to be honest I felt sorry for the guy! I knew what he was going through, because I didn’t want to be there, either.

Anyway, the lady was giving a tour of the house, and in the spare room someone pointed out the hot plate with the ashy knives sitting next to it. I knew right away that it was being used to smoke cannabis, but no one else there seemed to get it. On instinct I jump in and cover for the guy, because I don’t know if everyone there is cool with marijuana or not. Cannabis is not yet legal for recreational use in our state, although that never stopped me, and I guess it didn’t stop this guy either! I told the group that I also had a hot plate set up like that, to vaporize incense cones to cover foul odors, and everyone believed it. When they all left the roof I told the guy he better bring the cannabis and get me super stoned as a “thank you” for my good deed. We had a good laugh about it, and then snuck out back to smoke a cannabis blunt and watch the other people through the windows. We and this dude had a much better time standing and silently smoking cannabis, then being at the party.

My friends and I go to college in the city.

• The college has a ton of students and the library is always full.

My friends and I are always on the lookout for new places to hang out and study. I recently found out that a brand new cannabis cafe opened in the city. It is exactly three subway stops away from the college. My friends and I decided to go to the cafe last weekend. We took the 9 a.m. train to the location. We didn’t know what to expect, but we got away from school and that was nice. My friends and I walked into the cafe and it was a very interesting place. That place had a few areas to set and a menu that was listed above the budtenders. They had a few different items on the menu of the cafe. I hoped some of them would contain cannabis, but they did not. My friends and I got a turkey and ham sandwich and we went outside on the back porch. A few people were smoking pot and no one seemed to care. I took out my cannabis vape pen and hit it two or three times. Someone in the corner of the porch came over to say hello. I recognized the guy from my philosophy class. He offered my friends and I a fresh joint from a pack of half gram joints that he had in his hand. We sat there and talked for a while. I found out that Chad and Jack and I actually have a lot in common. We made plans to hang out again and watch a soccer game.

It wasn’t extremely windy, but every once in a while there was a large gust. My girlfriend and I went to the dispensary that morning and both of us were excited to try one of the new flower strains that we picked out. The cannabis shop was having a sale on all of the top shelf flower and my girlfriend and I wanted to pick up a couple of items before everything was sold out. It was a good idea, because sales rarely last as long as the stock. I thought it was better to wait until we got home to smoke weed, but my girlfriend got out a cone and started filling it with ground marijuana. She was doing well until a gust of wind came up behind her and dumped all of the weed on the ground. In a moment, everything was gone. A whole bag of weed toppled over and ended up on the ground in front of a group of pigeons. I was worried the pigeons would start getting the marijuana, but they did not. The whole fiasco could have been avoided if we would have waited until we got home. We never got to smoke any of that cannabis strain at all. The entire bag ended up all over the ground and we couldn’t pick out the dirt. We had to leave all of it behind and go back to the dispensary after we left the park.
