Medical and recreational marijuana sales are all legal here in the state where my friends and family live.
I often buy recreational marijuana supplies from a small dispensary in town.
I wanted to go visit some friends who live in a nearby state. That state does not have laws that allow for recreational marijuana use. I didn’t want to run out of supplies while I was visiting, so I went to my dispensary and bought a full ounce of dried marijuana flowers. The container made my entire vehicle odor like a marijuana dispensary. The odor is quite strenuous to get out of the car upholstery. My apartment also odors like marijuana. I am sure my clothes, sweaters, hats, and sneakers all odor like weed as well. I was going to my friend’s place on Monday and I was speeding. I was only over the limit by several miles per hour, but the cop decided to pull myself and others over at the end of the street. As soon as he stepped up to the car, the guy drew his weapon and told myself and others to put my hands on the steering wheel. I did as instructed, even though I immediately asked the officer why I was being arrested or detained. The officer said my vehicle odors like marijuana. He wanted to search the vehicle, even though I refused to grant permission for that. I told the officer that I had a medical marijuana card and he did not ask any more questions. I wasn’t even telling him the truth, but the guy stepped away from the vehicle and provided myself and others a speeding ticket. Things could have gone a lot worse, especially in that sketchy section of town.
