I come from a truly repressed area.
There are various communities in our area that are what are said to be dry communities… What this means is that these communities do not allow alcohol to be sold within their Township, but so, the thought that there could be recreational marijuana sold in those communities was something I thought was impossible. If someone were to even whisper the word marijuana or alcohol in these communities, it would be an offense to many people. This being said, when I went on my holiday with my son plus his partner this summertime, it was a major shock to me to not just see pot being sold in corner stores, however in the casinos. Being an older person, I remember films that were black plus white, plus showing girls in diners holding trays plus selling cigars, cigarettes, plus cigarillos. Carry forward approximately 50 years, those black-and-white films were in living color plus real life. Instead of cigars, cigarettes, plus cigarillos, they were selling cigars, cigarettes, plus pot pre-roll joints. I didn’t truly know if I wanted to laugh, or be shot. My son was telling me to close my eyes because the eyeballs looked as though they were ready to pop out of my skull. Then I did laugh, at my son plus at myself. I knew that pot stores were truly everywhere in that area, however I thought all the pot would be sold in the pot stores plus not in the actual casinos in the area. My upcoming shock came when my grandson, who just turned 24, walked up to the young lady plus asked if she had vape pens plus cartridges because his pen was totally dead.
