Some cannabis dispensaries here haven’t released new marijuana products in years

I had really low expectations of cannabis when I first started smoking it roughly 12 years ago.

We weren’t living in a legal medical cannabis state at the time so all of it was coming from the black market.

Although some of that cannabis ranks up there with the best batches I can find in a legal market these days, a lot of it was terrible at best and dangerous at worst. I can’t even begin to count the number of times I bought cannabis flower products that smelled like pesticides. If I was lucky enough to get marijuana that didn’t smell like chemicals, there was always a good chance that it could have mold spores of some kind in it. You really couldn’t say one way or another if the cannabis was good, let alone “safe.” As other states started to pass legal medical cannabis laws, the marijuana rejected after failed lab reports was sent to states where a black market proliferated. There’s a chance I smoked cannabis that was contaminated and offloaded onto the black market at one time or another in my past. Even if you think that you have the best weed connection in the world, you’ll never know for sure where the products came from unless you know the grower and watched it get harvested in front of you. I would much rather get my cannabis products from a marijuana dispensary, but I get frustrated sometimes at the lack of variety. There is one particular cannabis dispensary in this state that hasn’t released any new strains in years. I want new marijuana products but they keep the same things on the shelves week after week.
