Coming out of the seventies as an almost thirty something, I had a lot of knowledge about marijuana products.
I knew all about smoking, using bongs, and even using pipes.
I had no idea that marijuana now came in so many different forms that I had a ten page pamphlet to read. I couldn’t believe that medical marijuana was so much different than recreational marijuana. When I was a kid, we made brownies and other edibles, but we didn’t have a special distillate to use that doesn’t make the brownies taste like pot. You still had the effects of the medical marijuana, but without the taste. When my therapist and I decided it was time to try medical marijuana for my nervous disorder, I thought I would get some weed, pack it in cigarette paper and light up. He chuckled at my naivete about the many forms of medical marijuana. I ended up with a marijuana lotion for the pain in my hands and feet. I had a distillate concentrate I could use when cooking. I also had a medical marijuana vape pen and cartridges. I was interested in getting weed so I could smoke, but my husband thought we should do a bit more research and just take a few things first. I was like a kid in a candy store, and I wanted to try everything. When we got home, my husband went online, and he found a recipe for peanut butter cups that was infused with the medical marijuana distillate. Medical marijuana has changed how I feel and how I cook for my husband and I.
