Trauma has some crazy effects on people. And it’s not just on an emotional level either. While the emotional results are completely noticeable, at least for me, there are several physically related issues with PTSD. And I should know, I’ve been facing or managing my PTSD for quite some time now. However, I have recently added THCV to the mix as far as treatment options are concerned. This has made a large difference. I was first introduced to the plan of utilizing marijuana to manage PTSD symptoms. This was something that had worked for a number of people in my support group. So I gave it a try on my own. There was a near immediate positive effect when I used the medical marijuana. But the psychoactive component wasn’t especially good for me. I enjoyed the calm I earned but the high made it strenuous for me to function normally. That’s what’s so fantastic about this minor cannabinoid. THCV gives me the calming effect of weed without having so much of the challenge of the psychoactive qualities of pot. And this has been a complete game changer for me. Adding CBN to the THCV therapy has also been super beneficial. The CBN has a particular calming effect that I can literally feel. It’s sort of similar to a mild valium without the fog of the medication. I add the CBN on afternoons where the PTSD symptoms are a bit more tough to manage. This helps the THCV to help me to calm a bit quicker & to find a grounded perspective.
