My best buddy Max and I saved up for months on end so the two of us had enough currency for a security deposit on an apartment.
- Max found a couple of nice locations that were affordable.
One was way downtown by the wrecked center. It sounded nice to be close to the rec center because all college students could use the fitness center for free. That meant that I would save a lot of currency every month on a gym membership and I wouldn’t be stuck going to the gym in the apartment building, Max and I moved into the apartment in June. All of us had a housewarming party in July for the 4th. Max invited all of our friends to have a pool party. All of us knew that a bunch of people at of the apartment would absolutely get rowdy. The pool was open for us and all of our guests. There were many grills, picnic tables, and plenty of seating for almost everyone at the pool. One of our friends thought it would be cool to bring recreational marijuana to the party. I told him that he should not smoke a joint at the pool, because the two of us didn’t have the location to ourselves. I didn’t need to get in trouble for having marijuana at the pool when our lease prohibited us from using recreational marijuana out in public on the premises. My buddy got a little uneasy that I wasn’t going to let him smoke up in the pool area, even though he went out to his automobile and drove around the block while he toked a marijuana cigarette. I just didn’t want any trouble when Max and I just moved to the location.
