I have had to get stricter with my budgeting over the past two years.
I left a high income job for a position making 30% less because I couldn’t handle the constant stress.
The supervisor who I was reporting to daily wasn’t a nice person and we clashed constantly. He would criticize me over trivial details like how I held a pen in my hand to my choices for lunch everyday. Some people enjoy cutting down and criticizing others, regardless of how they go about doing it. My new employer is so much better, and he even hosts dinner parties at his home on the weekends when enough people are available. My deadlines are much more reasonable and flexible as well, which leads to less stress during my shifts in the afternoons. The only downside is having less money to spend whenever I get paid. My budgets are extremely strict, otherwise I wouldn’t have enough money left over to eat after all of the bills are paid. I like using cannabis, but it’s hard to justify the cost if you aren’t making more money than you need. One way I manage to afford cannabis is utilizing holiday sales. Often recreational cannabis oils for instance are up to 40% off on the 4/20 and 7/10 holidays. The word “oil” spelled upside down resembles the number 710, hence turning July 10th into a holiday for cannabis concentrates of all kinds. This year I hope that I can get a good deal on wax and shatter which are just two different kinds of marijuana oil products.
