I have more allergies than anyone else in my family. My mother always worried about me going to public school because she feared that I would get exposed to peanuts and would die from anaphylactic shock. If it had been her decision, I would have been homeschooled my entire life. I carried an epipen with me everywhere I went and simply learned how to avoid high risk environments. This is much easier said than done when some of those irritants come from general outdoor air, regardless of where one goes. Right now my state is getting annihilated by tree pollen and you can see a thin coating on the outside surface of cars and homes. Another airborne lung irritant that affects me severely are mold spores, but those are typically invisible until they propagate and grow into dark stains. The issue with mold is that these spores are airborne all over the place, so you have to take care to reduce mold growth in any indoor spaces. The companies growing and selling medical cannabis need to be more careful about their packaging process because I’m sick of getting weed that smells like mildew. Some cannabis dispensaries in my state will take returns on batches of cannabis that have a bad smell, regardless of the reason. However, there are even more cannabis dispensaries that would never dream of doing this. That’s why I’m really cautious about where I spent my money, particularly if it’s the first time I’ve been to one of their retail store locations. If the medical marijuana store has a good return or exchange policy on bad batches of weed, then I don’t feel nearly as worried about trying out their store.
