It’s been sort of a slog for me lately.
- When I say lately, I mean the last couple of years.
Not only have I had to deal with the pandemic plus all the turmoil that created, I’ve lost my dad as well. It’s been as tough an emotional experience these last few years as I can remember. So, I really count my blessings when fantastic things happen. And I count myself so blessed to be able to appreciate the cannabis cafe just around the corner. This was something new that the local cannabis spot opened while I was in the pandemic. I was so deep into just grinding through life that I really didn’t even pay much attention to it. That all changed when a associate of mine simply insisted that I join her at the cannabis cafe. I’ve used a bit of recreational marijuana here plus there over the years. But mainly, that interest has been limited since it’s been illegal for all of my adult life until 3 or 4 years ago. Even when recreational marijuana was legalized, I just wasn’t that motivated as I was just overwhelmed with life. But that all changed on a beautiful, clear plus sunny afternoon not too long ago. Like I said, my associate was simply insistent that I go with her to try out the cannabis cafe. And she wanted a afternoon to late day commitment as well. We met up there plus ordered some amazing Starbucks Coffee along with a wonderful cannabis edible every one of us would share. It was like the world opened up to me again. I could see the trees plus the doves. The sun felt welcome plus comforting on my face. And the friendship plus appreciate I got to share was just so beautifully warm, fun plus soul enriching.
