I will admit I am surprised that it isn’t difficult to be a cannabis delivery driver.
When my cousin Lindsay informed me she worked at a dispensary doing the deliveries, I was shocked.
My cousin isn’t exactly the most on top of it type of girl. She also doesn’t have an impressive resume. What she does have is a clean driving record and experience driving. Apparently that is all you need. It is easy to be an uber and lyft driver, it is basically that easy to drive cannabis. A lot of drivers prefer this since you are no longer responsible for human passages. It seems safer legally to drive weed. The job also offers much more monetary incentive than a basic pizza delivery person. All customers accepting the product should be in a good mood. Upon further research I did find that medical marijuana delivery drivers require a bit more knowledge. You actually need to know about cannabis flower and oil products. You need to do a bit more paperwork when getting the job since you are handling prescriptions. Really though, it isn’t that tough. Just about anyone can get that job. My cousin loves handling cannabis products. She loves finding homes and greeting people at the door. She said it is way better than any other delivery service she used to work for. She also makes quite a bit more money. Typically a cannabis delivery driver makes 20-30 grand a year with a cannabis dispensary. Not too bad of a gig right?
