Edibles are popular in the old folks home

I started a little sideline business from home, where I would make and deliver cookies, brownies, or other pastries.

It was something I just started to do because I loved it.

I was making all these sweets anyway, so why not try and make some money off of it? The only customer I had for the longest time was my Aunt Ruth, who lives in an old folks home nearby. I think the main reason she did it was to support me, and to keep me coming by to visit her. One day Aunt Ruth gave me a bombshell of an idea – to start baking cannabis edibles instead, and selling them to the other old folks. She explained to me that a great many of the senior citizens in the building enjoyed cannabis, but there was a very strict no smoking policy in place. This made sense, of course, because with so many residents who had diminished breathing capacity, any secondhand cannabis smoke would be dangerous. The need for smokeless cannabis was very high in this place, so we decided it would be smart to take advantage of that. To be clear, we weren’t “taking advantage” of the old folks, we were helping them by delivering cannabis edibles. The edibles made their lives better, and they didn’t mind spending a few bucks per edible treat. Aunt Ruth thought we could expand to other old folks homes, too, but my hands were full supplying edibles to just one home! I would need to hire help, and buy a lot more cannabis, to expand my production the way she envisioned.
