It’s hard to find someone that wants to do an honest day of work for a reasonable amount of money.
I’ve been meaning to do some work on my house and I’ve tried to get people to help me with these relatively easy chores.
I had to contact a fencing company, because none of my friends would help me put holes in the ground to dig posts. I even had a post hole digger, but they still refused. It’s like manual labor doesn’t exist. They told me to call someone to have the work done. I have to paint my house before the next summer or I am going to have problems with rain. There are places on the roof where the shingles need to be replaced and there are a lot of areas that need to have weather stripping. All of this can be done while I complete the painting. I asked all of my friends to come and help me, but they all made excuses. None of them want to spend their weekend painting my house. I offered to buy everyone beer and alcohol and I even offered to buy recreational marijuana supplies. I offered to buy marijuana edibles, concentrates, or dried cannabis flower. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get some help. One of my coworkers said that her son would help if I paid him $15 an hour plus a half ounce of marijuana. That’s the best offer that I have gotten so far, so I think I’m going to call the kid and offer him a job. I put an ad on Facebook and one on Craigslist too. I don’t know if anyone even looks at those places for jobs, but I could definitely use some additional hands.
