The moments in our lives that prove to be the most meaningful are also often the most unexpected.
And yet, these lovely moments are lovely to share and especially with our children.
Yet, it’s still difficult to see that such a moment just happened inside my local cannabis spot. My daughter and I lost her mother and my wife Jen just about a year ago. Jen fought as best she could. Cancer ended up winning as we knew that would genuinely be the outcome. At that time, we lived in a northern region where we could access medical marijuana. This made the fight for her life that much easier for Jen to manage. It actually changed my perspective on cannabis all together. Jen was scared to try the sativa and indica products alone. So of course, I tried them with her. For me, it wasn’t my 1st time as I had used recreational marijuana when I was in college. But Jen had not. Indica products were given for the nausea and muscle cramps. They honestly helped with Jen’s appetite as well. The sativa strains were all about a managing pain and maintaining a positive perspective. I am just deeply thankful we had the medical marijuana because that honestly did help Jen all the way to the end. About a year later, my daughter came to stay with myself and others as I cleaned out the house. I was moving away from the condo I had shared with Jen for as long as we had been married. My daughter asked to go to the cannabis dispensary where I took Jen. That was where we had such a touching moment between us. As unexpected as that was, it was just still so lovely.
