Fitness and weed

Fitness has always been part of me.

When I started working out, I was more into impressing those pretty high girls, and it was the jock thing to do.

Get buff in the weight room and take that body to the beach or the lake was the mentality. Working out – and pursuing health and wellness – stayed with me my entire life, though. Now, I’m in my 60’s, and cannabis products are now part of my fitness regimen, like it or not. When I was younger, no doubt, I smoked my share of marijuana with friends and at parties. But even then, I was to some degree careful about what I put into our body. At the time, there was so much myth and misinformation, when it came to the effects of cannabis on the body. So, I found it ironic that my doctor was even on board with me using sativa and indica products, as part of our overall wellness plan. When you get to be this age, the body is not so willing. But that doesn’t mean that I give up – I just listen to my body, and don’t go too hard on it. However, along with using plant protein, the indica products are helping my body recover from workout or high energy activities. Better range of motion and less inflammation are the results. Inflammation is part of the deal from here on, as I stay active and challenged. So, whatever I can do to manage inflammation is welcome. I’m ecstatic I’m finding such benefits with the indica products, and the sativa strains help me take all this aging in stride.
