I quickly realized that marijuana would help with the symptoms
I have suffered from ADHD symptoms since I was a very young boy. My mom and dad did not know how to handle my hyperactivity, so I got into trouble frequently. When my mom and dad found out that I had ADHD, they put me on a daily pill. The pill made me feel like a zombie, but it did allow me to focus more intently on school. I took the pills until I was in college. About a week after I started classes, one of my roommates offered to smoke a marijuana joint with me. It was super early in the morning, but it was a Saturday and I didn’t have any plans that day. We went out to the courtyard parking lot and found a place where the security officers would not be able to see us. Jack and I smoked the entire marijuana joint. I cough a bunch of times, but I hit the storm ain’t every time Jack passed it to me. When we were done smoking, I felt extremely calm and relaxed. I also felt focused. I went back to my dorm room and I watched a 2-hour movie. That is something I can’t normally do because of the ADHD symptoms. I quickly realized that marijuana would help with the symptoms. A couple of weeks later, I stopped taking a daily medication and I started smoking weed instead. My mom still thinks I take a pill for my hyperactivity. She thinks the pills work miracles, because I don’t have the heart to tell her that I smoke pot.
