COVID has wrecked some things while others are actually better.
I used to make a habit out of attending the theater, going to concerts & seeing movies.
Since COVID, I can’t do those things anymore. The restrictions have caused most performances to be postponed or even canceled completely. How aggravating is that? However, I am happy about the delivery services that have been made available. I can find any product online and have it sent to my door. I used to spend so much time grocery shopping every week. I have now signed up for a weekly grocery delivery right to my door. I now longer have to stand at the deli and wait while they slice my cheese. That saves me a ton of time. I just include cheese and lunch meat in my order. I pay extra for the convenience of delivery. Sometimes, they substitute products and I end up with the wrong things, sizes or brands. I just need to be careful about what I order. I have switched to delivery for most things, including my birth control, paper products & pet food. I rarely need to get in the car and run errands. I can even handle my banking online. The local cannabis dispensary was the final hold-out. They were resisting the need to hire licensed delivery drivers. It took them a while to set up their website to accept orders for delivery. I went through the process of visiting the dispensary a few times. Because of Covid, I had to wait outside. Only a few customers were allowed in at a time. It took forever to receive my order. I got rained on one time and decided I was done with it. Now, the dispensary includes cannabis delivery in my area. I just place an order through my computer & wait for the cannabis to arrive at my front door. I am spending more because of the delivery fee, but I am happy with the convenience. I don’t need to waste time driving to the dispensary and waiting in line.
