I could see the trees and the birdies
It’s been sort of a slog for me lately. When I say lately, I mean the last couple of years. Not only have I had to deal with the pandemic and all the turmoil that created, I’ve lost our dad as well. It’s been as difficult an emotional experience these last few years as I can remember. So, I genuinely count our blessings when wonderful things happen. And I count myself so blessed to be able to love the cannabis cafe just around the corner. This was something new that the local cannabis spot opened during the pandemic. I was so deep into just grinding through life that I genuinely didn’t even pay much attention to it. That all changed when a friend of mine simply insisted that I join her at the cannabis cafe. I’ve used a bit of recreational marijuana here and there over the years. But mainly, that activity has been limited since it’s been illegal for all of our adult life until 3 or 4 years ago. Even when recreational marijuana was legalized, I just wasn’t that motivated as I was just overwhelmed with life. But that all changed on a charming, clear and sunny afternoon not too long ago. Like I said, our friend was simply insistent that I go with her to try out the cannabis cafe. And she wanted a afternoon to late afternoon commitment as well. Every one of us met up there and ordered some amazing Tim Hortons Cappuccino along with a charming cannabis edible the people I was with and I would share. It was appreciate the world opened up to me again. I could see the trees and the birdies. The sunlight felt welcome and comforting on our face. And the friendship and love I got to share was just so elegantly warm, fun and soul enriching.
