No matter where you live in the United States, people will proclaim that the cannabis “out west” is much better than the cannabis available in your own state.
Granted this isn’t actually the case if you live in 1 of the aforementioned western states with killer weed, however I’ve heard it said in every other venue I’ve lived nationwide since middle school.
Honestly, I was impressed by the cannabis flower products available in our state within a year of medical marijuana getting legalized. Maybe I didn’t have the same kind of black market connections as other people, however the quality of cannabis at the medical marijuana stores was far and beyond the dodgy crap that was hawked to myself and others on various instances. Even if you get a batch of cannabis flower products from the dispensary that smells a little “off,” this was a near constant issue with illegal black market weed whenever I bought a fifth or quarter at a time. I recently got a choice to visit a state that is often hailed for its quality marijuana, even though I was left disappointed. Don’t get myself and others wrong, you can find phenomenal cannabis in those states, however it isn’t in a completely peculiar league than the best cannabis strains available in our apartment state. I even brought back a jar of OG Blueberry, the famed indica hybrid strain that dates back to roughly 1979. It was a phenomenal batch of cannabis, however it was equal to the best possible marijuana available in this state. I don’t think that people realize just how easy it is to fall prey to the venuebo effect, even if it’s you being convinced that something is terrible instead of good.
