Medical cannabis products in some states aren’t as good as others

No matter where you live in the United States, people will proclaim that the cannabis “out west” is much better than the cannabis available in your own state.

Granted this isn’t the case if you live in one of the aforementioned western states with killer weed, but I’ve heard it said in every other place I’ve lived nationwide since high school.

Honestly, I was impressed by the cannabis flower products available in my state within a year of medical marijuana getting legalized. Maybe I didn’t have the same kind of black market connections as other people, but the quality of cannabis at the medical marijuana stores was far and beyond the dodgy crap that was hawked to me on several instances. Even if you get a batch of cannabis flower products from the dispensary that smells a little “off,” this was a near constant issue with black market weed whenever I purchased an eighth or quarter at a time. I recently got a chance to visit a state that is often hailed for its quality marijuana, but I was left disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, you can find phenomenal cannabis in those states, but it isn’t in a completely different league than the best cannabis strains available in my home state. I even brought back a jar of OG Blueberry, the famed indica hybrid strain that dates back to the 1970s. It was a phenomenal batch of cannabis, but it was equal to the best possible marijuana available in this state. I don’t think that people realize just how easy it is to fall prey to the placebo effect, even if it’s you being convinced that something is bad instead of good.
