I really thought that the COVID pandemic would be the end of my business. I had been building up my client base for over two years, and finally seemed like I would start turning a healthy profit, when the lockdown hit. For a few weeks things were shaky, I had no idea how I could survive in such an economic climate. Thankfully, my loyal customers were all reaching out to me, asking me to find a way to stay open. I am not the only cannabis dispensary in town, but for a lot of people I am their first and only choice. One of my customers actually gave me the idea to start a cannabis delivery service, and to offer curbside pickup. I ran with the idea, and the next week I started hiring a series of weed delivery drivers to work for me. All of my weed delivery team were strictly required to wear masks and gloves during deliveries, and to of course abstain from using any of the weed products. No one had a problem with the safety protocols, but more than a few drivers ended up getting fired for sampling the cannabis products while at work. Once I had a good weed delivery team in place, business picked up like never before. Now that we are open for business like normal again, the weed delivery side of things has still not slowed down. It seems that a lot of my clients got used to having their cannabis delivered to their front door, so weed delivery is a permanent part of our business model.
