When I signed up for a medical marijuana card, I was ready to try anything.
My mental health problems had reached an impasse and I was desperate for whatever help that I could find for functioning during the day. The prescription medications I tried were only helpful for a few months, after which I started experiencing increasing side-effects eclipsing the original symptoms of my core mental health condition. The lethargy and exhaustion became so much that I was drinking a pot of coffee a day to stay awake and functioning at work. At that point I was experiencing so much anxiety from the coffee that I realized what I had done, leaving me frustrated and angry. Even though marijuana is still sedating, it’s nice being able to use sativa strains during the morning and afternoon hours because they keep me focused, energetic, creative, and exhaustion-free. For the longest time I had switched over to sativa concentrates in particular, but now I’m going back to medical marijuana flower again for a few months at least because of the cost difference. I find that I can get much higher for much longer by using quality cannabis flowers. With many other things in life, you get what you pay for, at least in regards to what dispensaries you shop at. Some marijuana stores will happily sell you dried out and stale flower buds, whereas another weed store would never think of sending poor quality like that out the door. Thos cannabis dispensaries are more interested in long term business and a better reputation on social media.
