Rosa was working an extra shift during the week until his retirement came through
My brother had suffered for almost ten years with extreme back pain, when they finally passed laws allowing medical marijuana in our state. I could see the pain in his eyes whenever I saw my brother. He had fallen off scaffolding when he was installing windows in a commercial building. The insurance company tried saying it was negligence on his part, but it was the negligence of the window company. They had installed faulty scaffolding. Even after he got out of the hospital, he was ready to go back to work. He could have sat at home and done nothing for the rest of his life, but he opted to go back to work, and learn to try to live with the pain. When I told him that medical marijuana had been legalized, he was already getting ready to retire. I had already done all the research, knowing he would be interested in trying medical marijuana for his chronic back pain. I had noticed he walked more slumped over, and he had a noticeable limp and loss of movement on his left side. He discussed the idea of medical marijuana, with his wife and asked if I could take him to his appointment. Rosa was working an extra shift during the week until his retirement came through. It took a while for the medical marijuana to start making a difference, but he was grateful I helped him to get his medical marijuana card. I’m sure in time, he is going to have less pain and more mobility thanks to the medical marijuana.
