My daughter was constantly complaining whenever she came to visit because she had to drive almost fifty miles to get to a cannabis dispensary.
She said that she was afraid to bring the amount of medical marijuana she needed to get her through a week, and it would be nice if the cannabis dispensary were closer. There was nothing I could say to make her feel better. All I could say was that I would understand if she wanted to cut her visits short, or wait until we had a local cannabis dispensary to come visit. When she left, she was upset that I would say that, but she was the one who was upset over not having a cannabis dispensary near me. A year later, there was a lot of talk about our small town getting a cannabis dispensary. They had recently legalized recreational marijuana and there were several new cannabis dispensaries going into the immediate area. With a twenty mile radius, they were putting up ten different dispensaries. I couldn’t believe how quickly things were changing. In a way I was worried about all the people who would be using marijuana that hadn’t before, but I was also excited because my daughter could come visit more often. I called her and told her that we had a new cannabis dispensary opening just a mile away, within the next three months. I heard her squeal and she told me she would be up for a visit in about three months. She always did have good timing, but it seemed a little coincidental that she planned the trip for when the cannabis dispensary opened.
