I got into a car accident recently and really mangled myself.
I injured my neck and shoulder area to the point that I fight pain and stiffness day to day. When I wake up in the morning I have shooting pain. I need to stretch and massage the muscles before I even think of starting my day. There are things I still can’t do too. I can’t sit at a computer and work very long. I also have trouble working out due to the stiffness. I have tried a chiropractor, massage therapist and going to a doctor’s office. Nothing really helped. My doctor did mention something that has been percolating in my head. He told me that I should consider medical marijuana. Apparently the number one reason people are getting a cannabis card is for chronic pain. He said the proper grade of weed would reduce my inflammation, stiffness and help me heal. I started looking into the process of getting a medical weed card and it wasn’t difficult. I also have the accident on file and my doctor’s visits. If I need to prove that I need medical weed for chronic pain it won’t be difficult. I don’t know if I like the idea of smoking or even vaping cannabis oil. I know there are topicals that can be applied directly to the skin to help the area. You can get a cream, lotion, scrub or a patch that works into the bloodstream with direct contact. I am hopeful I can get a prescription for that rather than something to smoke.
