Registration opened today (Feb. 25) for the inaugural Camp Coffee Shop, a four-day business education event in Napa Valley, California, for current and aspiring coffee shop owners and other coffee professionals.

Presented by Barista Magazine, the event is scheduled for Aug. 10-13, 2026, at Enchanted Hills, a roughly 300-acre retreat property.

With participation capped at fewer than 150 people, the event is being promoted as an intimate, retreat-style alternative to larger trade shows, with an agenda centered on profit planning, staffing structures, workflow design, menu strategy and long-term growth, among other issues facing coffee retailers.

“Camp Coffee Shop offers a level of access and connection you just can’t get at a big trade show,” organizer and Barista Magazine Editor-in-Chief Sarah Allen said in an announcement of the event today. “Instead of rushing between crowded booths and packed lectures, attendees spend real time working through their own business challenges with instructors and peers.”

Registration costs range from $699 to $1,499 per person, depending on lodging choice, with an off-site option at the low end and private “casita” cabins at the top end, according to the registration page. All onsite lodging options feature shared bathrooms. The costs include meals and programming — including keynotes, workshops and recreational activities — throughout the event.

Organizers said workshop and session instructors will be announced later this spring. Andrea Allen of Onyx Coffee Lab and Ian Williams of Deadstock Coffee are slated to deliver keynote talks.

Beyond “customized action plans, financial templates and practical tools,” the event also promises shared recreation and downtime.

“Camp Coffee Shop is serious about business — but it’s also genuinely fun,” Allen said. “We’re turning a beautiful Napa Valley property into a true summer camp experience with a pool, arts and crafts, curated evening activities, lakeside lounging, and time to explore more than 300 acres of wooded trails. Those shared moments outside the classroom are where real connections — and some of the best ideas — happen.”
