I used to be friends with a couple of pothead farming students. They were named Bill & Randy, & they were both unquestionably hardcore about engineering, & how it could be applied to improve the lives of weed people everywhere. They liked to build bongs & pipes, & while they started out real simple, they became more & more complex over time. These were smart guys, & smoking weed unlocked the right side of their brain which they used to build more astounding bongs. The weirdest thing to me was that they didn’t absolutely enjoy the quality of the cannabis they smoked. They would buy the cheapest ditch weed, because their focus was on the apparatus, not the actual product. They were unquestionably generous with letting me use their creations, however of course I regularly used my own cannabis. I have standards, & I don’t mean I have to have OG Kush or Girl Scout Cookies, I just mean I don’t want garbage weed filled with stems & seeds. These men smoked the garbage weed, & that stuff gives me a headache, I would love not smoking marijuana over smoking low grade marijuana. That said, they taught me a lot about the reason for gravity bongs, & hopefully I taught them a little about the benefits of smoking quality cannabis. They never finished it by the time I moved out, but I still wish I had gotten a way to measure how much THC was in my weed.
