The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to Ali Group, Bunn will operate within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welbilt.com\/\">Welbilt<\/a> portfolio of commercial equipment companies as one of the group&#8217;s approximately 115 brands. Bunn began developing improved drip-brewing systems, including the company\u2019s flat-bottom paper filter and early Gravity Drip commercial brewer. The company, based in Springfield, Illinois, was formally incorporated in 1963 and remained privately held and family-owned through five generations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe acquisition of Bunn marks an important step in strengthening Ali Group\u2019s leadership in the global coffee and beverage equipment sector and advancing our long-term growth strategy,\u201d Filippo Berti, Ali Group chairman and CEO, said in the announcement. \u201cBunn brings a strong heritage, a culture of innovation and a highly complementary portfolio that expands our global capabilities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ali Group, which is based in the Chicago area with a European headquarters in Milan, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2013\/10\/03\/rancilio-acquired-by-milan-based-equipment-maker-ali-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">acquired Italy&#8217;s Rancilio Group in 2013<\/a>, including the Rancilio traditional espresso equipment brand and Swiss Egro superautomatic machine specialist. Under Ali Group ownership, Rancilio <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2018\/04\/25\/rancilio-specialty-makes-us-debut-at-sca-expo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">launched the Rancilio Specialty brand<\/a> and equipment line in 2018.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ali Group describes itself as &#8220;the world\u2019s largest group in the foodservice equipment industry&#8221; by sales.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><i>Comments?
