In the lineup shift, GT 600 models replace the UW 500 series, while UW 300 grinders remain available for fineness ranges the GT line does not cover, according to the company. Probat also says the GT300.3 is 15% shorter than the UW300.3 and requires 25% less floor space.<\/p>\n<p>For maintenance and operation, a single belt drives all rolls in GT machines, simplifying servicing compared to individually driven rolls in UW machines. Probat also points to a new dosing mechanism that eliminates the need for a slide gate while regulating coffee flow through the mill.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The [GT Series] is designed for standard industrial applications, meeting customer demands but not exceeding them,&#8221; said Jansen. &#8220;The UW Series has individually driven rolls that give operators additional variables to play with to achieve the desired particle distribution.
