All images courtesy of Iwana Coffee.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async=\"\" defer=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/proxy.beyondwords.io\/npm\/@beyondwords\/player@latest\/dist\/umd.js\" onload=\"new BeyondWords.Player({ target: this, projectId: 50015, contentId: 'bcbdd505-a2f2-4325-bddb-ce23730ed2fa' })\">\n<\/script>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A jackpot of freshly roasted Colombian coffees awaits guests at the sister-owned <a href=\"https:\/\/iwanacoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iwana Coffee<\/a> shop in the Las Vegas Arts District, where in-house roasting recently launched.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The cafe opened by sisters Alexandra Rodriguez and Karol Rodriguez Borrero in mid-2024 welcomed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.diedrichroasters.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Diedrich<\/a> DR-3 into the shop last fall. On the same bar, pourovers are prepared with Origami drippers designed to spotlight each coffee\u2019s terroir and post-harvest processing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2026\/02\/11\/iwana-coffee-gives-las-vegas-fresh-roasts-of-colombian-gems\/iwana1\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-194364\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-194364\" src=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/iwana1.jpg\" alt=\"iwana1\" width=\"1240\" height=\"696\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/iwana1.jpg 1240w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/iwana1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/iwana1-620x348.jpg 620w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/iwana1-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/iwana1-768x431.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1240px) 100vw, 1240px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;[Pretty Done] was selected not only to support local art, but also because it resonates with the expressive, contemporary identity of Iwana and the Arts District itself,&#8221; the sisters&nbsp;told DCN. &#8220;Every element within Iwana \u2014 down to the tools we use daily \u2014 is a representation of art, intention and craftsmanship.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Alexandra Rodriguez and Karol Rodriguez Borrero moved to the United States seven years ago, working in other industries while building a vision for coffee shops with a vertically integrated supply chain tied to their family\u2019s 80-hectare farm, Finca La Esmeralda.<\/p>\n<p>Located mostly around 1,700 meters above sea level, La Esmeralda includes 30 hectares of forest reserve. Roughly 70,000 coffee trees grow across the rest, including Cenicaf\u00e9 1, Pink Bourbon, Caturra and other varieties. The sisters&#8217; father, Luis Andr\u00e9s Rodriguez, and their brother, Andr\u00e9s Rodriguez Borrero, lead <a href=\"https:\/\/farocoffeehub.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FARO Coffee Hub<\/a>, the Colombian processing and exporting company that ships coffees from the family farms and other nearby farms.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The sisters said they will soon be offering a Gesha-variety coffee that was purchased at a regional auction in Colombia for $65 per pound. &#8220;In this way, the Rodr\u00edguez family contributes both in Colombia and in Las Vegas to sustaining the specialty coffee industry, while offering the Arts District the highest-quality coffee from Colombia,&#8221; they said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With roasting now on site, Iwana plans to launch online sales and offer public classes and events in the cafe.
