A two-sided fireplace anchors the ground floor, while upstairs a flower-like circular couch wraps a structural pillar.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our interior has an eclectic feel to it, which helps to break up our large space into cozy vignettes that facilitate gathering, conversation and a sense of community, while also offering some separation and privacy for those looking to get some work done,&#8221; Idyll Coffee Roasters Co-Founder Peter Sohnle told Daily Coffee News. &#8220;The main goal for our cafe was to provide a welcoming and comfortable setting that, when combined with our quality product offerings and wonderful staff, facilitates a profoundly positive experience for our guests.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2026\/01\/15\/idyll-coffee-roasters-opens-its-ideal-cafe-outside-milwaukee\/idyll-coffee-roasters-wauwatosa-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-193850\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-193850\" src=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-2.jpg\" alt=\"Idyll Coffee Roasters Wauwatosa 2\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1116\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-2.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-2-275x300.jpg 275w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-2-569x620.jpg 569w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-2-138x150.jpg 138w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-2-768x837.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A 500-square-foot conference room is available for rentals, and a 250-square-foot cupping and training lab is nearing completion.<\/p>\n<p>Behind the bar, baristas grind the house espresso on a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2024\/04\/08\/la-marzocco-launches-the-swan-commercial-espresso-grinder\/\">La Marzocco Swan<\/a> before pulling shots on a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2021\/03\/08\/la-marzocco-introduces-next-generation-of-classic-gb5-espresso-machine\/\">La Marzocco GB5<\/a> S AV. The menu extends beyond espresso with Fetco batch brew and Toddy-steeped cold brew, while on a manual brew bar, baristas use <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2023\/02\/07\/fellow-follows-ode-gen-2-with-the-opus-conical-burr-grinder\/\">Fellow Ode grinders<\/a> and Hario V60 drippers and kettles to showcase a rotating trio of single-origin coffees.<\/p>\n<p>The Brew Bar is designed to spotlight Idyll\u2019s more distinctive offerings and give baristas room to go deeper with guests on processing methods, varieties and other details that shape flavor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our goal is to bring a seasonal rotation of exceptional single-origin coffees to our market alongside comforting blends that our community can rely on as their go-to coffee,&#8221; Idyll Director of Coffee Brooke Schlosser told DCN. &#8220;When sourcing green coffee, we prioritize cup quality, potential for ongoing relationships, social impact and opportunity to expand our customer&#8217;s understanding of specialty coffee.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2026\/01\/15\/idyll-coffee-roasters-opens-its-ideal-cafe-outside-milwaukee\/idyll-coffee-roasters-wauwatosa-3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-193851\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-193851\" src=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-3.jpg\" alt=\"Idyll Coffee Roasters Wauwatosa 3\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-3.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-3-620x414.jpg 620w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-3-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Idyll-Coffee-Roasters-Wauwatosa-3-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Beyond straight coffee and classic espresso drinks, the bar leans into house-made syrups and garnishes for a rotating seasonal menu, including drinks such as pumpkin-maple spice or candy cane lattes.<\/p>\n<p>On Idyll\u2019s signature menu, the shop offers several lightly flavored options such as a Salted Maple Cold Brew with cold foam or a Ginger Beer Americano. Idyll Coffee Training and Development Manager Deneile Soltis said those more middle-ground options are &#8220;great for coffee connoisseurs who want to be a little adventurous, but still want a drink with flavors that don&#8217;t mask the espresso or coffee.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Idyll Coffee Roasters was founded by married partners Karen Kurgan and Peter Sohnle, along with Sohnle\u2019s sister Amy Tamburrino and her husband Dave Tamburrino.
