All images courtesy of Leil\u014d Coffee.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async=\"\" defer=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/proxy.beyondwords.io\/npm\/@beyondwords\/player@latest\/dist\/umd.js\" onload=\"new BeyondWords.Player({ target: this, projectId: 50015, contentId: '451117f2-a412-4c47-ac97-0e3e9b115375' })\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>From the team behind neighboring Nikkei-spirited eatery Nik\u00f3 Sando and Malou Coffee in Brentwood, Los Angeles, a third concept called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leilocoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leil\u014d Coffee<\/a> is now open in Culver City.<\/p>\n<p>Taking its name from a Hawaiian garland and leaning into a Hawaii-inspired theme rooted in slow living, nature and togetherness, Leil\u014d wraps guests in warm terracotta-toned walls contrasted by gleaming metal tables, shelving and bench seating.<\/p>\n<p>Single-origin coffees served as manual pourovers and house drinks such as the Maple Cinnamon Cappuccino arrive in grounded ceramics or steel drinkware. The founders describe Culver City as \u201ca very suburban-in-the-heart-of-LA\u201d kind of neighborhood, and the shop\u2019s look plays on that duality.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2026\/01\/12\/leilo-coffee-says-aloha-in-culver-city\/leilo-coffee-culver-coty-la-3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-193724\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-193724\" src=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Leilo-Coffee-Culver-Coty-LA-3.jpg\" alt=\"Leilo Coffee Culver Coty LA 3\" width=\"1240\" height=\"827\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Leilo-Coffee-Culver-Coty-LA-3.jpg 1240w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Leilo-Coffee-Culver-Coty-LA-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Leilo-Coffee-Culver-Coty-LA-3-620x414.jpg 620w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Leilo-Coffee-Culver-Coty-LA-3-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Leilo-Coffee-Culver-Coty-LA-3-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1240px) 100vw, 1240px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The coffee shop is nestled between a quiet neighborhood and a bustling main street with a view of the SONY Studios. <em>So<\/em> L.A.,&#8221; Maddie Dickerson of PR agency <a href=\"https:\/\/marcellagiuffrida.com\/\">MGPR<\/a> said on behalf of Leil\u014d owner Ilan Noi, who also co-owns the other two businesses. &#8220;The neighbors have been extremely supportive throughout the soft opening, [and] very excited for a new neighborhood shop to open up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>With Mazzer and Mahlk\u00f6nig grinders, manual and batch brewers and a La Marzocco Strada espresso machine, drinks are built from coffees roasted across the U.S. by a rotating slate of quality-focused suppliers, including Pacific Northwest roasters <a href=\"https:\/\/roselinecoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roseline Coffee<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/cambercoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Camber Coffee<\/a> and New York-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seycoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEY<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/us.lacabra.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Cabra<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A washed Colombian coffee with caramel and citrus notes is currently the house drip offering, while a Mexican coffee produced through extended fermentation is the seasonal espresso, with the company describing notes of maraschino cherry and orange blossom. Both concepts feature menus designed by Los Angeles barista Omar Camarillo.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What sets [the cafes] apart is the vibe and how you enjoy the coffee,&#8221; Dickerson said. &#8220;Leil\u014d is built for lingering with a larger indoor space, plated service in beautiful glassware and a slower, &#8216;Hawaiian-inspired&#8217; sense of hospitality. Malou has a more energetic and outdoor vibe \u2014 quick, bustling and social.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>At Leil\u014d, locally baked pastries are available alongside savory and breakfast options made in-house, including a breakfast burrito, harvest salad, acai bowl and caprese sandwiches.
