While French press takes the place of pourover and batch drip in the coffee program, the bar is also equipped with a Mazzer Kony S grinder and La Marzocco Modbar group heads for espresso-based drinks. McClean and inventor Bruce Constantine, Espro has focused almost entirely on French presses, with <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2020\/03\/09\/espro-entering-the-pourover-field-this-spring-with-bloom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a pourover brewer<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2019\/03\/11\/espro-launching-cold-brew-system-and-hot-coffee-tasting-cups\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a cold brew system<\/a> also briefly brought into and out of production over the years. Wisconsin-based kitchenware seller Regal Ware became a majority shareholder in the Spring of 2018 and then <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2020\/09\/29\/espro-acquired-by-wisconsin-cookware-maker-regal-ware\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full owner in September 2020<\/a> as the original founders exited.<\/p>\n<p>DKK, a Canadian company with Chinese manufacturing connections that also owns the Viva brand of teaware and Liiton brand of whiskey glassware, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycoffeenews.com\/2023\/10\/06\/regal-ware-sells-french-press-brand-espro-to-torontos-dkk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">acquired Espro in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019ve never launched a brick-and-mortar space to showcase any of our brands before, which makes this debut especially exciting,&#8221; said Lin. &#8220;We plan to open additional Espro coffee bar locations. New and improved features on the Espro 2 include a removable BrewPod, finer micro-mesh filters and redesigned silicone seals.
