The options for home coffee bars got deeper and more interesting in 2025, as both newcomers and legacy brands rolled out genuinely ambitious gear.
Programmability and automation took a big leap, powered by recent advances in artificial intelligence and cloud-based data sharing.
At the same time, some makers leaned hard in the opposite direction, emphasizing durability and simplicity. Electronics-free manual espresso tools built around cranks, levers and gears also proliferated.
