Italian espresso equipment manufacturer Elektra is rolling out new machines for cafes and home users, continuing a push toward contemporary digital features and modern design while maintaining the brand’s reputation for quality.

Displayed at the recent HostMilano event in Italy (read all of DCN’s HostMilano 2025 coverage) and other trade shows this year, the new releases from Elektra include the Eklipto commercial espresso machine, the Jolie home espresso machine and the Micra espresso grinder.

Elektra Eklipto

The Elektra Eklipto first appeared at the SIGEP 2025 international foodservice expo in Rimini, Italy, in January. It was presented at HostMilano as an entry- to mid-level professional machine with features typically found in higher-end models.

The heat-exchanger machine with E61 groups aims to impress with a contemporary Italian aesthetic, while PID temperature control, cold-touch steam wands, RGB lighting and automatic group cleaning headline the functional features.

The company did not disclose pricing or future U.S. availability of the machine, which will be produced in 1-group and 2-group configurations.

“Elektra is strengthening its global presence as part of VEA Group, which brings together multiple manufacturing and engineering capabilities across the coffee equipment sector,” Elektra Marketing Manager Diana Zuluaga told Daily Coffee News, referencing the merger of several Italian equipment companies in 2024. “Eklipto, Jolie and Micra represent a renewed strategic direction: more accessible professional technology, contemporary design and a clear commitment to quality.”

Elektra Jolie and Micra

For home users, the Elektra Jolie single-group espresso machine and Elektra Micra espresso grinder both made their global debuts at HostMilano.

The Elektra Jolie, now entering production, uses a heat-exchanger system with a 2-liter stainless-steel boiler. A vibratory pump drives water through copper heat-exchanger pipes from a 2.4-liter onboard reservoir. A plumb-in version with a rotary vane pump is in development.

The Elektra Micra grinder is Elektra’s branded version of the Eureka Mignon platform with 55-millimeter flat burrs. Jolie and Micra availability and pricing are undetermined and will differ by region, according to the company.

“We see Elektra as a brand that people feel emotionally connected to. Our classic machines have become symbols in the coffee world, and now we’re focused on expanding that appeal globally,” Zuluaga told DCN. “Through our new digital presence, strategic collaborations and a new generation of products, we want Elektra to be the brand people choose not only for performance, but for the pleasure of having it in their spaces.”
